The Apprentice
Okay, I am getting irritated that people are criticizing Randal. If you spent 13 weeks of your life in a hyper competitive job interview, proving yourself as the best, would you want the 2nd-place person to earn the same honor as you? Heck no.

Here are my main points:

1. Performance on the show. Over 13 weeks, Randal was undefeated on all his tasks. Rebecca on the other hand, lost EVERY single task except the one when Randal was her teammate in the final 4. When given a chance to bring someone over mid-game, Team Excel picked Randal. In the final task, Randal raised 11k in rain, while Rebecca did not raise dime one. In the final show, all the other contestants besides Toral said Randal was more qualified and a better leader.

2. An insult to share the title. Would it be fair to ask Miss Universe or Miss America to share their crown? Did Trump ask Bill to share the title with Kwame in season 1? Trump should not have put Randal in that awkward position. It was unfair to ask Randal to share the title; he was way more qualified than everyone else in this season.

3. Experience level. Rebecca is definitely smart, loyal, and a good person. But she is not in the same league as Randal. She was a FINANCIAL JOURNALIST, not a business woman, and she's not even 25. Randal is a multi-millionaire, started 5 companies already, MIT guy, and a Rhodes Scholar.

4. Succeeding in adversity. It is commendable that Rebecca hobbled with a broken ankle. But Randal lost his grandmother during the show, and he has had to fight through glass ceilings. Randal was 3 times more qualified than everyone else to win, and once he won, he was still asked to share the title. Absurd.

The people complaining about this are the same people who think that child athletes should share their trophies, that valedictorians should share their titles, and that students should all be given good grades and never experience failure or reality.
