Some Random Stuff + Photos!

It was extremely hot today. I took a bus with a huge amount of people in to school. That reminded me some men in Japan who's job is to push as many people as possible into the trains. Can you imagine it? **personal space**

Last movies watched: HITCH - an OK one, Will Smith is great; The Aviator - can't say that I liked it that much; Robots - a quite inspiring movie; The Pacifier - I'm too old for this kind of things; My Big Fat Greek Wedding - a lovely one!

ok then, here we go to the pics from the 36th International Chemistry Olympiad that was held in Kiel, Germany - July, 2004.

The Opening Ceremony (can you find me there?)

By the way, it seems that I have won a bronze medal at some competition of the International Society of Photgraphers. I just uploaded a single photo in last august and they have just notified me of a win. Do you think it's real? I mean, not a scam or smth...

Following Saad

Since my last posts had a pic deficit, I've decided to follow Saad and post here some of olympiad shots. ok then, today there are photos from the 38th International Mendeleev's Chemistry Olympiad that was held in Chisinau, Moldova; May 2-10 2004 (a year ago). (you can click on images to enlarge them and sorry for the quality, theres was no digital camera those days)

There's no direct flight from Bishkek to Chisinau, so we had a very lovely trip. First, we went to Moscow (as you may see above, then we sat on the train and had a 25-hour trip to Moldova, passing Ukrain.

In front of the Moscow State University's main building. From left to right: me, Kiyal, Tynchtyk (student and out guide there :)), Artem and Altyn.

BSB are back. I used to listen to their songs like 7-8 years ago. I had no idea about MIT those days... what do you (or did you) think about them?

Olympic Career = OVER

About my last post: never mind, i'm not going to Bishkek. Reasons: no passport, political situation in Bishkek, finances.
yep, no one wants to finance the trip and passport change takes ~month
it means that: I'm not going to the Test, thus I'm not going to IMChO, thus I'm not going to IChO...
what can we say here... It's time to prepare for MIT.
--------------------------
About the dorms: what do you think? They are sending docs in less then a month and we will have to choose. I'm thinking about Next, Simmons and MacGregor. Take a look on it, what do you think (I mean the trailer)?
additional remark: if you are wondering why i'm not posting any photos these days - I forgot the camera cable in Bishkek 3 weeks ago...

A Quick Post

Hi!
I'm probably leaving on Sunday. We will have the Team Selection Test for the IMChO and IChO teams.

CPW started, and while most of you are having at MIT right now, I have to sit here and look for the photos. I wish, i could be there...
==========
Have you planned your courses? I'm thinking about 18.01, 8.01, 7.012 and some humanity for the first term (yeah, i'm going to take calculus 1, even though there's an 'edwards and penney' in my hands right now - **don't know** - placement exam is possible here). What are your plans???
==========
now, to talk about music... what kind of music do you listen to (i remember Moneyman and Matt were posting their itune lists - let's forward this idea)?
I like linkin park [but 'collision course' wasn't that good (in my opinion)] so, what do you think about this band and this album:
???
enough for a while.... ***waiting for comments***

First of all, people who are going to CPW: HAVE FUN! and send me some cool pix!
now, our spring break is over and i have to be at school right now, but i'm soon getting my passport and some forms have to be filled out... so, i'm at home...
