March 2005 - Posts

THE MONTH is over

March 2005 was significant. Significant for all of us. We (prefroshes) found out our university decisions, we now can see our way to the future.

March 2005 was also significant for my country. How will people talk about this month 50 or 100 years ago? Will they say that Kyrgyzstan built its democracy in this month or will they say that it was just some kind of anti-constitutional action. No matter what they'll say, it's now clear that Kyrgyzstan of future will cordinally differ from Kyrgyzstan of the past. And the point, where old and new Kyrgyzstans collide is the March 24th, 2005... What changes are we facing?
Good luck to everybody!!!
what do you think about new view of my blog?
and if you still haven't read Moneyman's Last post, do it fast!

I've just been rejected from Harvard. Looking at this list I can conclude: 3 acceptances (MIT, Moscow Sate, IUB), 1 reject and I didn't apply to METU...

Some interesting facts from Bloomsbury
# If all Harry Potter books ever sold were placed end to end, they would go around the equator 1.4 times.
# If all the Harry Potter books ever sold were laid flat, they would cover the area of about 1000 football pitches. Or they could be used to carpet Monaco 3.7 times.
# On its first day of sale in the UK, Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix sold at a rate of 21 books per second. If all those books sold in the UK in the first day were stacked up the pile would be 12 times higher than Mount Everest.
# If one person were to read every Harry Potter book ever sold - at a rate of one per day - it would take them over 700,000 years to do so.
# The total number of Harry Potter books ever sold is more than the populations of Britain, France, Germany and Italy combined.
again, Good Luck to everyone!

Another Post

Today I walked outdoors, went to bank, had a haircut and observed the situation in the city. I have to say that there are changes. First of all, people became friendlier. They believe that Southern part of our country (where Osh is located) provided, what the call, revolution and that that was a win of cooperative work of all citizens of our city. They believe that new government will bring a better life to Kyrgyzstan. Well… I’m happy for them. What about looting or something – there are no signs of it.
News from our former president. I don't understand this person... where was he when we needed him the most?

Bishkek in fire.

well... thank you people! I'm ok, and I'm in Osh. I'm feeling nothing but embarrassment right now. yes, I wanted Kyrgyzstan to become famous, but not like this. well... Bishkek is crashed, while everything is fine here in Osh. I didn't have any opportunity to get online, because my favorite internet-club was crashed and robbed. everything is too confused in Bishkek... more on this topic - soon. the Olympiad was stopped, but I managed to find out the results. I'm the third! but there's no meaning now. Osh is fine, and I'm going to be fine, so don't worry!!! thnx
