So, it seems every time I sign on to my
Gmail account, i find out about another
Google project from
Google Labs.
I am attempting to switch my life over to
Google Calendar, and away from
Tech Time, since I have a feeling that Tech Time will stop working for me once I graduate (or rather, once I lose my username). I haven't gotten the calendars to transfer over yet....some bug somewhere is preventing me from doing so.
I at least can use the
Google Page Creator to make websites, since soon I wont be able to use my MIT www locker. It seems so far that there are lots of limitiations with the program, but perhaps you are able to upload any sites you make on your computer, which can allow for more complicated pages. So far I've only posted
this. I think once the year dies down I can add a lot more content.
I definitely have been using a lot of the more established projects. I've been needing to use
Google Scholar quite a bit with all these research papers I have to do. And
Google Maps is alsp pretty snazzy.
I guess Google doesn't really need any advertising...they can get people to use their products pretty easily. I guess I just got excited about how they have products that can replace what I was using at MIT. I still think that
MIT's software is pretty dang good, and I would definitely recommend using Tech Time while you're at MIT because of the integration with MIT's athena accounts.
Anyway, that's my two cents for now.
Oh, and a special thanks to
Kiersten for commenting to my blog! Yay for her!
