YAY!!!

So, I was going to post this earlier, but I didn't get a chance. So, every year, college a cappella groups can submit songs to be considered for BOCA (Best of College A Cappella). We (Resonance) submitted a few of our tracks from our new CD, Left on Red, to be considered. And we were picked! A lot of other awesome groups are on there! I was actually eating dinner with some resonators, including Mike and Anisa when I found out. (you can listen to our BOCA selected song, Mystify, and a few others, on our MySpace page, or listen to clips of all the songs at on our website.)

There's been a lot of Resonance stuff going on recently. This weekend, we performed at Alpha Chi Omega's Apple Pie event. The event was open to the entire MIT community, so it was exciting getting to sing for a wide variety of people. The following night, we performed at Kappa Alpha Theta's Theta Playstation, a philanthropy event. This event was nice, but not many people listened to us singing. Oh well!

Just a little bit more about Resonance, and then I swear I'll move on to another topic. The weeks after Thanksgiving, we're going to be performing at least 3 more times! We'll be singing at Next House on Friday, December 2nd for the RBA sponsored Coffeehouse event, where there will also be open mic time and lots of yummy food. And then the next night, we're singing at Baker House's formal. Last but not least, is our fall concert. It's December 9th, at 9 pm, in 10-250. I'm really excited, because I'm going to be singing a solo, and that's when our new CD is going to be officially released! (let me know if you're interested in preordering one!)

There, I told you I was going to stop soon! All I wanted to say now is that I'm really looking forward to going home and being with my family. Are you guys going home for thanksgiving? and where is home for you? Well, I really should get back to work (the ratio of punting to tooling here has been a little bit bad for my studies recently, so I think I'll get going. Have a great long weekend!
