How are you?

So, school has been going okay. Really glad we have a "student holiday" tomorrow, I really need it! Lots of work has piled up. So my question for you all is: How are you? What is your favorite/least favorite part of MIT so far? I realize we all have slowed down on the blogging since classes have started. . .so I'd like to know! This way it's much easier than posting a whole post!

Well, I suppose I should be back to work. :( oh well, it's MIT!

cool resource of the week!

I figure there's lots of cool stuff that you get because you're an MIT student, but lots of times you just don't know about it! I'm going to try to post a "cool resource" every week, if I can. Let's see how long that happens for. . .

Okay, so most of you know that the MIT Libraries have tons of resources for you. Books, Magazines, Journals, rentable laptops, heck, they even have a Website boasting all the resources they've got. I do realize that this has kind of become a "four million resources of the week" thing, since once I get on a topic, I kinda talk on and on and link to lots of sites. I guess to see all the awesome stuff they've got, go to that website listed above. But anyway, that wasn't even where I was going with this! So, I'm taking a music class this semester, where we have to listen to lots of music. Well, our professor told us about yet another resource the libraries have to offer: Naxos Music Library. You can directly get to the site through MIT from here. You can basically stream lots of different music from there completely for free!

Well, that's it for now. I really should start getting ready for class! Hopefully you all aren't soaked from this crazy thunderstorm!

wow

Oh man. The past week has been a bit crazy. Last weekend, Resonance held tryouts. They went really well. We got 7 new members! It's very exciting. One of the new members is Mike! And we've already got 2 gigs set up for next week. We're singing at Hillel's FYSH Kick-Off Event on Wednesday, and then a few days later (Saturday) we're singing for the Jaycees 85th Annual Meeting (though it's the 67th Annual TOYA Reception. . .anyway). I'm really excited that we're already getting right into the swing of things!

And of course. . .classes have started. I think I signed up for too many classes, but I can't figure out which one to drop. . .I figure I should go for a few more classes of each before deciding which to drop. I want to take them all, it's just I don't think I'd have the time for all of them (I'm not like Hermione in the 3rd book. . .)

And wow, it's such a gorgeous day out. I gotta remember to get outside and enjoy this weather, because I know it wont last for long. You should too!

Well, keep blogging, everyone, and let me know how you've been! I'm still trying to meet you all in person, though since my last post, I have met Samin. Time to go read!

Reg Day

Well, while most of you registered last week with your freshman advisors, the rest of the MIT students are bustling around registering for their classes. I kinda signed up for too many classes. . .but I figure I'll go to the first few lectures in the classes to see which ones I should drop/keep. We'll see. . .

And I met more bloggers! I've finally met Jane, Kiersten, Peach, and Wendi. I'm still looking for the rest of you!

Plan for today: clean room, get some rest, read the book for 6.A36: The Asking Animal. It's the Next House RBA seminar that I'm associate advisor for. I really need to make sure I'm ready for my last year at MIT to start. Wow, how wild is it that most of you are just starting, and I'm on my way out?

Well, I'm going to add more later, but I figured I'd update a little bit right now
