I really hate installing “real” or “quicktime” on my machine. However, eventually there is something I want to view that requires the software and I have to give in.
Today I found out there is an alternative. A friend of mine pointed me to this site, http://www.free-codecs.com/. The free “Real Alternative” and “QuickTime Alternative” codecs let you play these formats in the windows media player. Ahhh, I can feel the freedom :)
